Self-Care Day!

Alrighty! You guys voted again, and self-care day blog won so that’s what you’re going to get! Now what I normally do for a self-care day is treat myself to lunch and a movie in the theaters but because of covid-19 I can’t do that! Well I can treat myself to lunch still but it’s a rainy day out and I’m just going to stay home today! Anyway, here is a list of self-care activities I like to do and that make me feel happy and relaxed.

1. Sleep in until 9 or 10! With my job I usually have to be up by 7/7:30 so on days I don’t work I try to sleep in if I can!

2. Take a nice hot shower! Also, while I take that shower I tend to listen to my Broadway playlist and pretend I’m on Broadway because I mean why not?

3. Do my morning skin care routine, which you can read about in my “Morning Routine” blog, but I added doing my pore mask today because self-care!

4. Make myself a nice breakfast! Today I had cinnamon rolls! *yumm*

5. Find a relaxing activity! This is usually when I would take myself to the movies but since I can’t do that I decided to paint with some watercolors and listen to some music.

6. Do something else that is fun and/or relaxing! Like play a video game, watch your favorite movie, bake, read, go for a walk or even a drive or pretty much anything you find to be fun or relaxing. I am going to read the new book in the Hunger Games series that just came out today!

7. Take a nap! I mean this is always a good thing to do!

8. Dinner time! Now for this I either make myself my favorite dinner or I order take out, it just depends on what I feel like doing at that time.

9. Movie time! Time to relax, as if you weren’t already relaxed, and maybe pop some popcorn, grab some wine and snuggle up with your pup or cat, or whatever animal you have, on your couch and watch a movie. Whether it’s your favorite movie or a new one from your list of movies to watch, either if great!

10. Time to get ready for bed! Put on your favorite pjs, I know you have a pair, do your night skin care routine and if you don’t have one, get one! Even if it’s just washing your face and then putting moisturizer on, that is perfect by itself! Climb on into bed and then I usually put on whatever show I’m at the moment, unless I’m super tired, but right now the show I’m watching is New Girl. I usually watch 2 or 3 episodes and then turn off the tv and go to sleep.

Well there you have it! There is my self-care day blog and I guess its technically a quarantine edition blog since I couldn’t do the things, I normally do but this still sounds like a great day to me and its most likely how my day is going to go today! If you guys try any of these things or even all of them let me know in the comments below! Or if I there is something you do that I didn’t list let me know! I’m always down to try new self-care things! Even if you just do one of these things once a day that’s some great self-care right there! Also, if you’ve never taken yourself to the movies I 100% recommend it. At first I felt a little weird but now that I’ve done it a handful of times, I honestly enjoy it so much and I can’t wait to be able to do it again!
